COMMUNITY DROP-OFF SITES
Community members are invited to drop off food scraps at our public stations in Arlington Park, Gillespie Park, The Meadows (Meadows' residents only), and at WSLR+Fogartyville. These sites are maintained through community contributions, and while donations are encouraged, they’re not required.
Additional drop-off sites are located in the Pinecraft neighborhood and at Limelight Community Garden.
View our full drop-off location list below and contact info@sunshinecommunitycompost.org for site access details, instructions, or to learn more!
Sunshine Community Compost strives to shape our work in ways that ensures the long-term sustainability of our programs and services, while building resilience within communities and the food system. Our hope is to move beyond just recovering resources to building soil, growing food, and creating community connections. We also want to ensure the right educational resources, programs and tools are accessible to as many people as possible so we can expand upon the new wave of emerging compost enthusiasts and leaders.

COMMUNITY DROP-OFF SITE SPONSORSHIP
With high visibility and foot traffic, Community Sites are powerful opportunities to showcase regenerative practices and inspire everyday environmental action. Sunshine Community Compost is delighted to offer annual Community Site sponsorship opportunities for businesses and other organizations who want to visibly champion sustainability, deepen local roots, and be recognized as a catalyst for regenerative change where it matters most - right in the heart of the neighborhood. When a Community Site sponsor is secured, there is no cost to site users and an additional single-payer is not required for the duration of the annual sponsorship.
