About the event

EVENT DETAILS:

Join Sunshine Community Compost during International Compost Awareness Week for Florida's first ever Compost-A-Thon.

During this event, you or your organization will learn how to collect compostable materials in a sealed bucket for one week during International Compost Awareness Week, May 6- 12, 2018 .

On Saturday, May 12th, participants will be assigned to one of our hosted community compost sites between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to “weigh-in” and deposit collected scraps. After the “weigh-in” on Saturday, May 12th, everyone attends a luncheon beginning at 12 p.m. to celebrate our collective success!
