  • How to make your own reusable, compostable bees wax wraps to eliminate plastic wrap

  • How to make a rug out of worn-out old clothing

  • How to grow and fashion your own reusable, compostable luffa sponge 

  • How to make your own compostable lip balm

  • How to make your own DIY compost sifters + youth led compost sifting activities & sifting competition (w/prize)

  • Be part of creating an upcycled palette planter

 

Featured Activity Booths - on-going throughout event to learn & take home what you make:

  • Experience compost by planting sunflowers, marigolds or luffa sponges in compostable pots to take home

  • How to make a reusable grocery bags out of old T-shirts - bring an old t-shirt to use or use one of ours

  • Making veggie print stationary - kids can make Mothers Day cards using veggie stamps

  • How to reuse expired calendars and magazines to make unique gift cards and bound pocket notebooks

  • Clothing swap booth - bring something you want to leave behind & take something new to you!

  • (Tentative) Floral/ plant and up-cycled floral arranging - using re-purposed materials and chemical-free local plants to make live and up-cycled floral arrangements
